Hello! I am happy you are here. I am Christine Show, a former news reporter who fell in love with coding and user experience. I now work as a digital designer and editor.
Here is a little about me:
I am a very proud graduate of Syracuse University (Go Orange!) with a bachelor’s degree in newspaper journalism and women’s studies.

I received a master’s degree (also in my favorite subject: journalism) at Columbia University. I learned to code and graduated as an interactive designer. I also became an editor producing videos, editing photos and managing related digital content while studying at Columbia.
Before I got my master’s degree, I used to be a reporter covering federal, state and local politics at the Orlando Sentinel. I have also worked for the Associated Press, The Syracuse Post-Standard and Newsday.
I transitioned into digital design and became a website editor at Columbia Law School. I designed and built large sections of the school’s website, edited both print and digital content and served as a project manager on a redesign of the school’s website.
I decided to use my combination of skills in public service. I became the digital platforms manager at the Joyful Heart Foundation, which provides educational services and does advocacy work on issues surrounding sexual and domestic violence. My work has included creating an overall content strategy for all external communications, designing website content to establish a better user experience. I have also worked at the Women’s Refugee Commission as the senior digital media officer, where I led the redesign of their entire website and instituted search engine optimization (SEO) on their website. I also managed WRC’s social media and email communications.
When I’m not thinking about code or checking for typos, you can find me at the playground with my son, Jacob. My husband, James, and I love to travel around the country and world, something we hope to make a family activity when Jacob is older. I love to knit and I enjoy baking (and eating) French desserts.
